Margaret’s practice encompasses a wide range of business litigation matters, and Margaret has developed particular expertise with trade secrets, non-compete and employment agreements, and Americans with Disabilities Act defense. Before joining the firm, Margaret practiced at two other prominent firms, where she gained experience with insurance coverage, employment, fraud, breach of contract, intellectual property, bankruptcy, and antitrust matters.

Obtained dismissal of a lawsuit for injunctive relief and damages based on breach of an employment agreement, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, and tortious interference with business relations
Obtained summary judgment in Seattle federal court that national retailer did not violate the Americans With Disabilities Act or inflict emotional distress by refusing to allow customer into its premises with an animal that was not trained to perform any tasks for the customer
Obtained summary judgment in California federal court for national retailer that disabled serial plaintiff did not have standing to allege a failure to comply with accessibility standards
Successfully defended appeal of division of marital property and award of attorneys’ fees in Illinois Appellate Court
